Hey there, I’m Sam! Creating art out of love is my passion, and I'm so excited to tell you more about me and my work. I’m a full-time lifestyle and portrait photographer currently based out of Crown Point, Indiana. I was born and raised right here in the midwest. I’m a wife and mom of three awesome kids. I thrive on coffee, creativity and love and maybe a little wine now and then! I’ve spent the bulk of my adult life working in medicine and education and although not exactly related to photography, those experiences taught me how to connect with people in a very real way and help people feel at ease. I decided to start my photography career right after I had my youngest son. I replaced the old camera and set out to learn everything I could about taking photography. A photo shoot is a personal experience, so it's important to choose a photographer you connect with, someone who has the right vibe for your tribe, so to speak. From the proposal to the engagement, the bump to the baby and the many milestones that follow; this is the place for you to have a glimpse into the full experience of working with me. I'm a fun, laid-back kinda gal and that translates into my photography. I love capturing those playful, honest, fun, authentic and intimate moments. Rather than thinking of the sessions I offer as photo shoots, I like to think of them more as experiences. I live to create and share the beautiful story of your life and the love that you share with those around you.
Let’s have some fun! What makes you tick? Whether we head the city, play at the park, on the beach, visit your favorite brewery, do some exploring in abandoned or long forgotten location, have a pajama party or just do some baking, together we can make memories you’re going to love for a lifetime, and the best part is that we're going to have fun doing it! During our time together, I am as much interested in getting to know you and finding out your individual story as I am with creating beautiful images. I think my job is an incredible gift: I don’t just preserve memories, but I help make them. My sessions are laid back so you will feel comfortable enough to let your personality and story shine. I am drawn to authentic moments and honest connection and am happy to photograph you wherever you feel most comfortable, whether that’s a bustling downtown setting or in the quiet of your own home. My hope for our session is that you come away with an experience, a memory, and the photos you receive serve as a reminder of the moments you and your loved ones shared during our time together. I welcome families of all backgrounds, cultures, races, and lifestyles and have extensive experience in working with both children and adults with special needs.
